What Do Shrooms Do To Your Brain: Magical Effects

When you hear the words “magic mushrooms,” the first few things that come to mind are vivid colors, hallucinations, a greater self-awareness, and some intense sounds. But, more than that, there are so many things that magic mushrooms can offer, and they can provide something unique and “magical” to their users.

An Overview Of Magic Mushrooms & Their Effects

In terms of an amazing psychedelic trip, magic mushrooms can offer something indescribable. But, not all trips are created equal, and highs can range from 4 to 8 hours, depending on many different variables. Even with these facts, one thing to note is that magic mushrooms are powerful, no matter how long you experience their effects. When magic mushrooms are studied by researchers and experts, it has been found out through brain imaging tests that the shrooms have power over different functions in the brain.

While you are under the influence of magic mushrooms, you will find that your brain function will be affected, and the weakened logical side will strengthen how emotional you can get. As magic mushrooms make your brain become more interlocked with each other, some closed doors will open, and you will be provided with introspection and consciousness.

At present, they are also being studied for therapeutic purposes. Many scientists are developing studies that magic mushrooms can be used for anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD, and other similar health conditions. This is through the fungi’s ability to open up the mind and help people understand the way their mind works.

Some Scientific Studies That Relate Magic Mushrooms To The Brain

It was traced to used thousands of years ago that magic mushrooms have been utilized by humans for health and healing. When consumed, the effects of these shrooms manifest within a quick 20 to 60 minutes, thanks to its psilocybin content and some other chemical compounds.

1. According to some research studies created in Imperial College in London, magic mushroom’s psilocybin content connects to the receptor in the brain that handles serotonin. This makes communication between the parts of the brain that do not usually interact.

Through studying different MRI results, people who have psilocybin in their bodies can trigger different connection patterns in mind. When this happens, a person’s mind has lesser constraints and allows clear intercommunication in the mind and body. The doctors who worked on the study shared that these links in the brain result in a unique state of consciousness, which is usually exhibited by consumers as enlightenment and introspection.

2. In another study created in the United Kingdom in 2016, the findings showed that further research could use magic mushrooms as a treatment for depression and related mental illnesses. The reports show that the psilocybin content in the shrooms allows its users to feel a higher level of happiness and making them feel like they are connected to the world – that they matter. Because of these properties that show magic mushrooms can help in lifting a person’s mood, the researchers also suggest using magic mushrooms for patients that are looking for alternative options in dealing with addiction, OCD, and anxiety.

3. A single dose of magic mushrooms can bring the consumer to a colorful and fun psychedelic experience that usually manifests between 4 to 8 hours. But, according to some studies, there are some changes in a person’s neurological make up that can be felt even beyond years. This is mostly exhibited through a study on the consistent creative interest of people who usually never leaned into the arts.

4. Aside from bringing its user to a feeling of being dreamy, the psilocybin content in the brain is also linked to the stimulation of the primal brain areas that hold power over a person’s emotions but weakens the cognitive capabilities. Because of this, people under the influence of psilocybin mushrooms tend to feel an intimate connection to their pure and honest feelings – feelings that are no longer filtered by logic and reason.

Final Thoughts

Whatever you might call magic mushrooms, one thing is for sure – it possesses something magical that can bring a person to the extent that no one can imagine. It opens doors to a wide realm of possibilities. It is truly an exciting thing to see – how science can bring something this unique into the forefront of innovation, with the bottom line being the benefit of mankind.

The most well-known species among magic mushrooms are the Liberty Caps, also known as Psilocybe semilanceata, and Psilocybe cubensis, also known as Golden Teacher.

According to scientists, the reason why the classification of Psilocybe mushrooms is as wide as it is is through the genetic phenomenon called the horizontal gene transfer. This means that the mushrooms do not have the same ancestor, but it came about as a way of a defensive mechanism. The magical effects of the magic mushrooms originally began as a way for them to deal with harmful insects that try to convert them into prey.

On the other hand, the Fly Agaric, scientifically known as Amanita muscaria, is a smaller group of these psychedelic shrooms. This little group of magic mushrooms can exhibit the same hallucinogenic effects, but they do not have psilocybin and psilocin. What they have is the set of chemicals called ibotenic acid and muscimol.

2. People are unable to develop an addiction to magic mushrooms.

These findings will be studied more in its relation to treating people’s mental health problems, including post-traumatic stress disorder.

8. Magic mushrooms possess something more aside from psilocybin.

Aside from psilocybin, magic mushrooms may contain different chemical compounds, including baeocystin, aeruginascin, nor psilocin, psilocin, and norbaeocystin. The differences in the combination of these chemicals in the presence of magic mushrooms make the difference in the potency and the effects of each shroom experience. These are two compounds that produce a psychedelic effect, and they are seen as compounds that have the power to alter the response of the serotonin receptors throughout the brain and the body.

In terms of addiction, magic mushrooms are not addictive, and they are the type of substances that reduces their effect and intensity with repeated usage. They also do not offer any form of overdose, and they have been proven to be safer in comparison to alcohol, anti-depressants, and tobacco.

With lower doses, you can compare to the effects of being high on some cannabis sativa strains. You start to see things clearer, and some colorful objects seem to be more vivid and bright. Then, you will feel a general sense of euphoria, like you want to laugh hard and giggle most of the time. Growing Magic Mushrooms 101

growing magic mushrooms

The popularity of magic mushrooms started thousands of years ago when ancient people used them in various religious rites and ceremonies. Old artifacts and art depict how these psychedelic mushrooms were a respected form of treatment and spiritual awakening. These magical fungi gained worldwide notoriety in the late 1960s when they became inextricably tied to the hippie movement.

Nowadays, magic mushrooms are finding broader acceptance, and more people are pursuing these psychedelics for their many benefits. Wild magic mushrooms are found across the globe and are considered one of the most widely used psychedelic drugs. However, foraging and looking for magic mushrooms in dense, humid areas is not easy, and the activity presents some cons. One of the worst-case to happen is accidentally picking a poisonous mushroom and ingesting it, thinking that it is one that contains psilocybin. Mushroom poisoning is so prevalent nowadays, and even experienced mushroom hunters make mistakes every now and then.

The good news is that you can now grow magic mushrooms at the comforts of your own home. Aside from enjoying a year-round supply of psychedelics, home cultivation eliminates the risk of wild mushroom misidentification. In this article, we will discuss the common cultivation methods:

Mycelium or Magic Mushroom Grow Kits

Choosing a magic mushroom to grow kit is dependent on several factors, including your knowledge and experience as a grower and the kind of mushroom trip you want.

Finding the perfect strain for you.

The first thing you need to know and look out for is the strain of magic mushroom. Different strains have different concentrations of psilocybin in them. The higher the psilocybin percentage, the more intense the effects of the strain will be. The Golden Teacher psilocybe cubensis, for instance, is one of the most popular and preferred magic mushroom strains for beginners because of their intense effects and large yield. The Cambodian psilocybe cubensis strain is another popular strain because it grows fast, produces large mushrooms, and grows well on different types of material.

The second thing you need to consider when choosing the perfect strain is the kind of grower you are. Are you a novice grower? Then, it is best to find a strain that’s easy-to-grow and forgiving of sub-optimal conditions.

Knowing the type of mushroom trip you want.

Another thing to consider when choosing your kit is to decide what kind of trip you want. Are you a beginner to the world of magic mushrooms? Do you want to get on a psychedelic journey that is spiritual and inspiring, or do you prefer to enjoy improved mental focus and creativity without losing an entire day to hallucinations? Do you have a high tolerance and want to take exciting trips regularly? These are some of the questions you need to ask yourself before choosing your grow kit.

Just make sure to choose a trusted supplier of ready-to-use to grow kits, and after a few weeks, you can dive into your own magical world thanks to your homegrown mushrooms. These kits usually come with a manual to guide novice growers.

Growing Magic Mushrooms From Scratch (PF Tek Method)

While many beginners opt to start with ready-to-use psilocybin mushroom grow kits, many experienced psychonauts prefer to start from scratch. Making your soil or substrate lowers the risk of contamination and ensures consistency in every level. Not only that, growing your mushrooms from scratch is greatly rewarding, and you’ll end up learning a lot more.

Spore syringes.

The first step is to get a good spore syringe that contains your magic mushroom spores. Again, it is important to find a reputable supplier to ensure you will not encounter any problems such as contamination and misidentified strains.

What You Will Need

  • Spore syringe, 10 to 12 cc
  • Organic brown rice flour
  • Vermiculite
  • Drinking water
  • 12 half-pint jars with tight lids
  • Hammer
  • Small nail
  • Measuring cup
  • Mixing bowl
  • Strainer
  • Heavy-duty tin foil
  • Large cooking pot with lid
  • Small paper towels
  • Micropore tape
  • Clear plastic storage box, 50 to 115 l
  • Drill
  • Perlite
  • Mist spray bottle
  • Hygiene supplies, like rubbing alcohol, disinfectant, air sanitizer, and gloves

Instructions

First things first, sterilize your work area, tools, and equipment using alcohol and disinfectants.

Prepare your jars by punching four holes through each of their lids, making sure they are evenly spaced around the lid’s circumference.

Prepare your substrate made of organic brown rice flour, vermiculite, and water. Divide this between the different sterilized pint jars, filling the jars to within a half-inch of the rims. Again, sterilize this top half-inch and fill with the rest of the vermiculite to insulate the substrate from any contaminants. Close the lids tightly and cover the jars with heavy-duty tin foils.

In a large cooking pot, place small paper towels as a bottom layer and place the jars on top. Add water to a level that reaches halfway up the jars and bring to a slow boil. Close the lid on the cooking pot and leave to steam for up to 90 minutes. After steaming, allow the jars to cool overnight.

The next day, remove the foil from the first jar and Introduce the spores. Insert the syringe as far as it goes through the holes, and with the needle touching the side of the jar, inject at least ¼ cc of the spore solution. Repeat with all the other holes. Make sure to sterilize the needle with the lighter and wipe it with alcohol between each inoculation process. Cover the holes using micropore tapes.

Repeat the process with the remaining jars.

Place your jars in a place that is away from direct sunlight. Within seven to 14 days, white mycelium should start to appear.

Prepare the fruiting chamber, which is a plastic storage container drilled with ¼ inch holes all around the sides, base, and lid. Make sure to run your perlite under cold water to soak and then drain it out until completely dry. Spread the mixture on the base of the chamber, creating a four to five inches deep layer. This helps aeration in the fruiting chamber. Set this container on top of stable objects to allow air to flow underneath.

After four to five weeks, transfer your now colonized substrates to the fruiting chamber and wait for your homemade magic mushrooms to grow. Make sure to cut tin foils large enough for the substrate to sit on without touching the perlite layer on the chamber.

Mist the chamber and fan the lid up around four times a day to ensure humidity is kept up and airflow is maintained in the chamber. After five to 12 days, your magic mushrooms should be ready for harvest.

For psychonauts and magic mushroom growers, the PF Tek method is a game-changer as it provides the mushrooms with more room to grow, mimicking their natural environment.

Basic Parameters to Remember when Growing Magic Mushrooms

Humidity

Humidity is essential to any mushroom, psychedelic, or non-psychedelic. Mushrooms need moisture to produce their fruit. Since they have no skin, moisture is easily lost. Thus, the importance of having an environment that is high in humidity. When hydrating your substrate, it is important to use osmosis water, and never tap water, to avoid contamination. It is also important to understand that the soil needs to be moist, not wet. So, any leftover water needs to be removed as it may again lead to contamination.

Lighting

The amount of light is another important parameter to consider when growing magic mushrooms. Some growers use a normal white bulb on a 12-hour cycle, but indirect natural lighting is also fine. The important thing is that the light does not directly hit or shine on the substrate.

Temperature

Another important factor to consider is temperature. Mushrooms generally flourish only in temperatures between 21 to 24 degrees Celsius. Temperatures above or under this range will either kill the mushrooms or cause them to grow slower and produce less.

Growing magic mushrooms is more challenging and difficult than growing a basic plant, fruits, and vegetables. However, growing your homemade psychedelics is not only a rewarding experience, but it also helps eliminate the risk of mushroom misidentification and poisoning. For beginners, a magic mushroom grows kits are available to help guide them with the basic steps of successful mushroom cultivation. These grow kits are relatively self-explanatory. However, these kits always come with some issues of contamination. The good news is that you can grow your own magic mushrooms from scratch using the famous PF Tek or Psilocybe Fanaticus Tek, as explained above.

Safety Tips for Trippers: Are Shrooms Bad for You?

are shrooms bad for you

Magic mushrooms, otherwise known as shrooms, are steadily gaining worldwide recognition since the 1960s, throughout the hippie movement. Since the 1970s, however, these psychedelics are considered illegal. Its main active compound, psilocybin, is classified as a Schedule I drug just like heroin and cocaine. This means that it has a high potential for misuse with no accepted medical or therapeutic use.

Safety track record of magic mushrooms

According to the Global Drug Survey conducted in 2017, magic mushrooms are considered the safest recreational drug to take. Out of over 10,000 individuals who reported taking these psychedelic fungi, only 0.2% required a visit to the emergency room. That is lower than marijuana and even alcohol use. However, since they remain illegal, there is a big risk of ingesting the wrong kind of magic mushroom. In addition, since there are very limited studies done on magic mushrooms, there is still the question of whether long term frequent use can lead to harmful side effects.

Risks of taking magic mushrooms and how to avoid them

Magic mushrooms can be found easily growing in the wild. It is important to note that this does not automatically mean they are safe alternatives to harder drugs. There are still potential risks associated with tripping on these magical fungi.

Risk #1: Magic mushrooms might worsen anxiety issues.

One of the most common risks, although still relatively rare, appears to be extreme anxiety or panic. Surveys show that this can last an average of at least 3.8 hours. Because of the way psilocybin and its metabolite psilocin interacts with serotonin receptors in the brain, these mushrooms can alter brain chemistry and further cause negative effects to someone whose mental health is not at its best state.

Safety tip: Individuals dealing with psychological problems should always think twice before attempting to take magic mushrooms. It is best to completely avoid any form of psychedelics as they can easily trigger awful experiences, leading to intense negative consequences. The good news is that some research, which is now at its early stages, has shown that under the supervision of a professional, certain doses of magic mushrooms can help reduce anxiety. More research is needed in this area, though.

Risk #2: Magic mushrooms do not always guarantee a good trip.

Getting a bad trip is the number one commonly reported negative side effect of ingesting magic mushrooms. A bad trip can cause you to get physically sick, with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and chills. Worse, the hallucinations can last for days, especially for novice users coming unprepared for the effects and taking large doses.

Safety tip: Under normal conditions, a psychedelic journey lasts around six to eight hours. The way your trip goes depends on several things, including your dosage, your environment, your mental state before taking the mushrooms, as well as the people around you.

It is important to understand the concept of “set and setting” when it is your first time to take magic mushrooms. Set stands for mindset, which includes not only the person’s mental state but also the physical state. Psychedelics tend to enhance emotions and a person’s current state of mind. That is why it is important to start any magic mushroom journey with a calm and relaxed mind. Otherwise, the psychedelic substances will force you to face your deepest fears and problems and turn the entire experience an unpleasant one. Similarly, it is important to avoid magic mushrooms, or any form of psychedelics, when you are ill, injured, or physically tired.

The setting is the second factor to take into consideration any psychedelic experience. This means the environment around you – which should be calm, familiar, and safe. Avoid the large, irrelevant crowd, unfamiliar territories, bright lights, as all of these can trigger unwanted stress that can lead to a negative state of mind. In addition, it is best to find a “sitter,” someone who you trust and who can stay sober to take care of you while you go on your journey.

Risk # 3:Magic mushrooms look similar to poisonous mushrooms.

One of the worst things that can happen when ingesting magic mushrooms is accidentally taking a poisonous mushroom instead. The Autumn Galerina, for instance, can easily be mistaken for a magic mushroom. Symptoms of mushroom poisoning occur within six to 12 hours and can include muscle weakness, gastrointestinal irritation, and delirium. Unfortunately, they could also be mistaken as the effects of a bad trip. Mushroom poisoning can lead to organ failure and eventual death within a number of days if treatment is not given immediately.

Safety tip: Every mushroom expert knows that identification is not always easy, and the consequences are always severe. Individuals who harvest their own magic mushrooms in the wild are especially at risk of accidental poisoning. It is important never to ingest any of the mushrooms that you have picked unless you can distinguish the psychedelic species from the poisonous species. Even experts make mistakes every so often.

Nowadays, there are several magic mushroom kits containing mushroom spores for sale. In theory, all you have to do is keep the psilocybin mushroom kit humid, and after a few weeks, you can enjoy your own home-grown magic mushrooms. These sets usually contain a manual, making the entire process easier.

Magic mushrooms have shown to provide a number of benefits, including a substantially improved quality of life. However, like everything else, ingesting these hallucinogenic fungi comes with a risk. It is important to understand what these risks are and how to avoid them to fully enjoy your psychedelic journey to self-awareness.

What do Shrooms do to You Physically

what do shrooms do to you physically

Shrooms, psychedelic mushrooms, and magic mushrooms are street names for fungi that contain the psychoactive compound psilocybin. There are over hundreds of known species containing this particular substance and its metabolite psilocin.

The effects of magic mushrooms can be felt within 20 minutes to half an hour after they have been ingested. And a full psychedelic journey can last for up to six to eight hours. These mushrooms can be eaten alone, or mixed with other food, or brewed like tea before drinking in order to mask the mushroom’s unpleasant flavor.

These hallucinogenic mushrooms have been used in many rituals and ceremonies dating from thousands of years back, but it is only recently that scientists have started to learn and understand the impact of these substances on the human body.

Physical Effects from Magic Mushrooms

Hallucinations. Intense sounds. Saturated visuals. Greater self-awareness. All these are hallmark effects associated with the consumption of magic mushrooms.

Changes in brain activity

These psychedelics are powerful. Brain imaging studies show that these fungi have profound effects on our brain function. For one, brain activity patterns change while under the influence. While some areas of the brain became more pronounced, others were muted. In addition, it also showed that the brain reorganized connections and linked previously unconnected regions of the brain. There were now stronger activities across regions that rarely or never engage with each other.

Because of these changes in brain activities, magic mushrooms are thought to alleviate symptoms of depression. For people who get into depressive thinking, the areas of the brain that are responsible for sense-of-self are over connecting. But by loosening these circuits, these psychedelic mushrooms can provide relief from the strong depressive emotions.

On the other hand, the way that these mushrooms affect communication across brain networks is the reason why people often hallucinate or why synesthesia happens. Associating colors with emotions or shapes with a certain smell are some forms of synesthesia.

Increased heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature

Various studies have shown that taking magic mushrooms have been shown to alter physiological parameters by binding strongly to our 5-HT2B receptors. This can lead to an increase in heart rate and blood pressure. Heart rate, while under the influence, easily rose to the 150 to 160 range even at a normal dose (2.0 to 3.0 grams of dried magic mushrooms). And any drug that increases the heart rate is likely to cause an increase in the blood pressure too.

Interestingly, the same studies showed that body temperatures could fluctuate intensely while high on the drug. A user can feel cold and have chills at one point, and instantly feel flushed and sweating.

Relaxation or tightening up of muscles

Researches show that magic mushroom or psilocybin use affects the nerve cells that control our muscles, similar to marijuana usage. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, this action can induce feelings of relaxation. However, it is important to note that different individuals are subject to different experiences with magic mushrooms. Muscles relaxing and muscles tensing up can both easily happen when you’re high with psychedelics.

Pupil dilation

Psilocybin is known to mimic the effects of the brain chemical serotonin. This not only helps with the treatment for depression, but increased levels of serotonin can also cause pupils to dilate. Depending on the dosage, pupils can stay dilated for more than 24 hours, which can become quite uncomfortable and inconvenient.

Diarrhea and Dry Mouth

Our bodies are naturally engineered to remove pathogens or toxins that enter the system through vomiting or diarrhea. In the same way, about an hour after ingesting the magic mushrooms, you may start to feel queasy as the body starts to react to the novel substance and attempts to rid itself of the powerful chemicals. Diarrhea draws water into the intestine, and this leads to dehydration and dry mouth.

Drowsiness and excessive yawning

While there are still no studies directly examining why magic mushrooms or the compounds in them cause excessive yawning, many revealing hints show the involvement of psilocybin (mimicking serotonin) binding to the 5-HT2C receptors in causing the yawns. For some psychonauts, excessive yawning is an unwanted distraction from their magical journey. For others, however, the yawns are highly anticipated because it lets them know that the compounds are successfully coursing through their veins.

Wood Lover Paralysis (WLP) or numbness

A temporary state of muscle weakness or paralysis is one reported common side effect when consuming magic mushrooms, especially when ingesting species that grow on wood. Hence, the name wood lover paralysis. Up to date, there are no scientific studies that have been conducted around this phenomenon despite the number of anecdotal reports. Paralysis here includes the loss of motor function and facial control, including loss of feeling in the tongue and lips.

Magic mushrooms are not as famous for their physical effects as they are for their nonphysical effects. However, a number of these bodily reactions actually stem from their mental effects. These side effects, however, can pose issues when using whole magic mushrooms or even extracts for therapeutic use. Thus, the importance of studying and understanding all the compounds found in these psychedelic fungi and how they work together to cause these physical effects.

Magic Mushrooms: Understanding its Nature and Properties

magic mushroom nature and properties

There has been considerable interest in magic mushrooms for thousands of years. These psychedelic fungi have been used extensively by ancient people in religious and spiritual ceremonies. One rock art found in the Sahara that goes back to 9,000 years ago depicted the use of these hallucinogenic mushrooms. Nowadays, thousands of people journey to popular collecting grounds in hopes of coming across these magical species. Lucky for psychedelic-enthusiasts, these mushrooms can be found in nearly every continent in the world, except in Antarctica.

Magic mushrooms, more commonly known as “shrooms,” have an extremely strong effect on the human body. Many people use them for recreational purposes due to curiosity, while some search for them purely due to their mystical and spiritual experiences. At low doses, these hallucinogens distort perceptions and alter thoughts and mood with little to no effect on memory and orientation. At higher doses, the magic mushrooms can cause hallucinations, alter perceptions of time and space, and lead the user to a powerful spiritual realization.

Chemistry of Magic Mushrooms

Psilocybin is the main psychoactive principle in magic mushrooms. Once ingested, psilocybin is metabolized into the pharmacologically active form psilocin. The latter is the primary component that produces the fungi’s mind-altering effects. Aside from psilocybin and psilocin, two other substances – baeocystin and norbaeocystin – are present in magic mushrooms, but they are thought to be less active than the first two.

Like other hallucinogenic drugs, such as LSD, magic mushrooms are shown to produce their effects when their active compounds act on the neural highways in our brains that use the neurotransmitter serotonin. More specifically, the psychoactive substances affect the part of the brain that regulates thought analysis and abstract thinking.

Nature of Magic Mushrooms

Magic mushrooms are abundant in nature. The number one element any mushroom needs for growth is moisture. Dry air and wind can easily destroy them. That is why densely forested areas that are close to bodies of water usually provide suitable conditions for these mushrooms to flourish. Even your own backyard is one place to consider. Given the right conditions, you might get lucky.

Just like your typical mushrooms, these magical ones also grow in woods on rotting logs, on sawdust, or even on clumps of decomposing animal dung. One of the most famous magic mushroom specie, the Psilocybe cubensis, often colonizes the dung of cows and other grazing mammals found in humid grasslands.

Features to Identify Magic Mushrooms

Many magic mushroom species closely parallel the appearance of some of the most toxic and poisonous mushrooms in the world. In fact, many mushroom hunters are susceptible to poisoning because of simple misidentification. Here are the three distinctive features of psilocybin mushrooms:

Magic mushrooms have blue-staining flesh.

One important feature that is distinctive to psilocybin-containing fungi is the blue or blue-green reaction when bruised or injured. The blue color becomes more apparent in mushroom species that have higher psilocybin concentration. While this is a widely known feature of the magical mushrooms, no one has identified the reason behind this bluish color. What scientists only know is that the bluish pigmentation is the result of psilocin degrading into unknown compounds. What this means is that if a mushroom bruises blue, psilocin is or was present within the mushroom cells.

Magic mushrooms deposit dark purple-brown spore prints.

Hidden under the cap of these mushrooms reside thousands of spores that not only lead to the growth of new mushrooms but are also a crucial identification feature for the mushrooms. While a single spore is impossible to see with the naked eye, a pile of spores can. The color of magic mushroom spore prints is always purplish brown. When trying to identify a particular fungus from a psychedelic one, the color of the spore prints will help you.

Magic mushrooms have semi-gelatinous pellicle.

Magic mushrooms have a fair amount of variation even across members of the same genus. However, another distinctive feature that all these psychedelic mushrooms have is in their caps. Their caps are covered with a thin membrane or, what is commonly called, a pellicle. These thin films feel jelly-like and are separable when a cap flesh is being broken gently.

Important Things to Remember with Magic Mushrooms

While these magic mushrooms may not be directly life-threatening and toxicity is unlikely, they can produce unpleasant experiences when taken at high doses, just like any other classic hallucinogenics. The effects also vary and often depend on the person and the context in which the mushrooms were ingested or used.

The concept of “set and setting” is very important when taking these magical fungi. Diving into any psychedelic journey is best done when in good spirits, in good condition, in a calm and familiar atmosphere, and with some trusted people around. Otherwise, you may be asking for problems.

Magic mushrooms, in general, have a rather mild-mannered appearance. But almost everyone knows that these little fungi can change anybody’s world even at low doses. Nowadays, several studies continue to be conducted to further explore and understand the benefits and advantages of magic mushrooms bring to our physical and physiological health.
